Corrections policy

Report an error

Anyone may ask us to verify a fact, link, name, date, quotation or image by emailing [email protected] or using the reporting form. A useful request identifies the article URL, the disputed passage and, whenever possible, a reliable source that supports the correction.

How requests are reviewed

The newsroom compares the published material with available sources and may contact the requester for clarification. A request does not automatically result in a change. A correction is made when an error, a significant ambiguity or materially outdated information is established.

Visible corrections

Minor typographical errors that do not change meaning may be fixed directly. A significant factual change includes a correction or update note explaining what changed. The article modification date is updated so readers and search engines can understand the current state of the publication.

Exceptional removal

An article is removed only in serious circumstances, including a legal obligation, a clear safety risk, an unjustified rights violation or a lasting inability to correct materially misleading content. Where appropriate, an explanatory notice replaces the removed material to preserve transparency.

Right of reply

A person directly discussed in an article may ask us to consider a response. The newsroom assesses its relevance, length and verifiable information. Publishing a response does not mean endorsing every claim it contains, and additional context may be provided for readers.
